StormOS Hail Beta 2 is now ready for download here.
Main features of this release:
- Updated packages
- Faster installer that installs in around 5 mins
- Better VM support, now works in 32-bit VirtualBox and VMware
- Live CD + Install CD are now part of a single ISO
- Bug fixes all 'round
Known issues:
- Live Session wont work in VMware but it will work fine once installed
- Still have GNOME icon in GDM theme

I am running the liveCD on my laptop and besides some minor issues it works like a charm! Next desktop will surely get StormOS!
( The reason I'm not installing it now is because I need the Windows for work :-\ and StormOS (SOS?) needs my entire disk. )

Anyway that a .wav file or some kind of sound queue could play when the gnome desktop is active? This away if a blind person were booting the livecd, you would know you could startup orca for instnace?
I'll try and work this into the next release, shouldn't be too hard.
Real nice, looking forward to giving it a spin on VB - The Gnome desktop on OpenSolaris is driving me insane and the KDE has yet not arrrived on the OSol platform, I reckon it is time to give Xfce a chance (It is my prefeered environment on the Solaris-terminals at the university) - StormOS seems ther perfect opportunity.

Looks good except for trash service error, but thats fine as far as I am not aware what exactly this means :) .There were no install or mouse problems. I have tried it in VirtualBox in 2.2.4.
Is this debug compiled version?
